22.-25. February 2024, Rovaniemi
We made a comeback and had our sixth edition of Vastarannan kino with the theme “Post-apocalyptic Valentine’s Polar Night”. We had 16 participants from Finland, England, Ireland and Germany who represented total of seven different nationalities. There were nine films made and among them were two documentaries, one animation, experimental and fiction films. We had our KinoLab and the final screening at the event space Y_North. We also had some time to go to sauna in between all the filmmaking. Kino was a blast!
Some filming equipment was borrowed from the University of Lapland and Valofirma. Special thanks go to Flatlight and Y_North for sponsoring us with the amazing event space for the kino!
